(#14)Pastiche Preview: Goose Summer Tour [Cleveland,OH, (N2)6/20]
The Cleveland Weather tried to Rain on the Goose Parade taking place but thankfully the Pavilion had coverage over the crowd and everyone's feathers only got a little wet.
Once the pond got dancing all of the vibes commenced and the rain didn't have a chance of putting a damper on anybody's mood at the show.
The Stream was electric from beginning to end. Couch tour has been epic and it's only going to get better as each show lead up to MSG on the 28th. I’ve already made sure that I’m not doing anything this upcoming weekend so I can absorb all of the new nuances that are going to be exhibited throughout the show. The Stream to me is such a good way to get an intimate perspective with the Band and to be a part of the crowd that's witnessing the show live.
SET 1
Seekers on the ridge Part II > Drive
If you’ve been reading the blogs this Summer you know how much I love Seekers on the Ridge Part II. Always have and always will be. One of the Bluesiest Goose Tunes with amazing lyrics and rhythms. Pairing it with a song like Drive to close out the first set created a roller coaster of choppy solos and improvisation that left your face melted after it concluded. If they do this jam again I wouldn't be mad.
SET 2
Red Bird
How much this song has evolved since I first started following the band is special to witness. My first ever Goose Show at the Wiltern on 9/28/23, Red Bird was the song that sold me on the band. The lights, the energy that surrounds the lyrics, and Peters Piano rift is one of the most satisfying within the Goose Catalog. You don't want to miss this Red Bird if you’re going back and checking out the recording of the show.
Pancakes
The fluffiest of all jams and an amazing way to conclude the Cleveland run. My favorite aspect of the song that comes to life every time that it’s performed is the edgy guitar riffs that are complemented with some silly lyrics within the chorus. Getting Pancakes at the Troubadour last October was my favorite Jam from the 2nd set that i was able to catch after getting miracled. If you havent checked out that Blog i got the link for you right here.
Encore
So Ready
So ready as an encore is one of the grooviest ways the Band could end the show. A song that got so many people hooked and one I'm sure got a lot of people that were seeing Goose for the first time in Cleveland. I wouldn’t be surprised if the boys got something special planned with so ready for MSG. Are they going to play Fast: Slow, Slow Ready, So Ready, or are they going to play all 3? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
